hurt people hurt people

hello beautiful. i hope that got you to open this post:) wouldn’t it be nice if more conversations opened like this?

last week, at a conference, I grew so much. for the first time in a long time, I was an attendee - not the person putting on the event.

how profound! when you pay to attend, you actually listen. you apply what you are hearing to YOurself - not to the company you represent - not to the team you take - just … you.

when I heard the phrase “hurt people hurt people,” it hit me like a ton of bricks. it is so true. why do we love to share misery and anger? what if, we actually could get others to believe they were worthy, or beautiful, or that their opinion mattered? Would the world be a better place if we collaborated?

the whole world revolves around how we treat each other. the exact words we use are so important to how the message is “received.”

think about what you say - the very words you use. they matter.
